Welcome to our Partnership

The Watford and Hertsmere School Sports Partnership is a partnership of Infant, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools across Watford, Bushey, Borehamwood and Potters Bar. The Partnership, established in 2004, is based at Queens' School, Bushey which is designated as a Specialist Sports College.

The team consists of Partnership Staff including the School Sport Development Manager (SSDM) and Competition Manager. In addition there are 10 PE Release Teachers (PERT's) who are based at each of the Secondary Schools within the area, as well as a PE
Co-ordinator at each of the Infant and Primary Schools.

The team work together to increase participation in High Quality Physical Education and School Sport through co-ordinated PE, school sport and out-of-school-hours learning activities that link with local community sports facilities, clubs and development programmes. The Partnership offers opportunities for young people to experience different sports, access higher quality coaching, engage in leadership and volunteering and take part in competition.
