Leadership

Watford and Hertsmere School Sports Partnership

Bolt on Day 2010

The annual Leadership and Volunteering Bolt on Day took place at Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth on Wednesday 14th July 2010. Students from Secondary Schools across the Partnership took part in the day, attending National Governing Body (NGB) Couses in a number of different sports, including Basketball, Cheerleading, Cricket, Gymnastics, Football, Netball Umpiring, Rugby Union, Swimming and Table Tennis. The day which was aimed at Year 11 students who will attend the SSP Leadership Academy was a huge success and it is hoped that a similar event will take place next year.

Students who attended the Bolt on Day will now be expected to help to run a sporting club in school for partially engaged pupils for at least one term with the guidance of the SSCo. Students are aso required to register on the Step into Sport on line Passport if they have not already done so.

Young Ambassadors (YA)

The Partnership are working to introduce the Young Ambassador Programme in all of it's partnership Secondary Schools. Each year young people from each School will be selected to take on the role of Young Ambassadors, selected either for their sporting talent or due to their outstanding commitment and ability as young leaders or volunteers.

Each year two Young Ambassadors will be selected as the Partnership Young Ambassadors and will represent the Partnership at a number of Young Ambassador events.
